Temporary Surcharge Notification - Middle East Crisis – 14th April 2026
Temporary Surcharge Notification - Middle East Crisis – 14th April 2026
The ongoing crisis in the Middle East, and the resulting disruption to global oil supply chains, is now having a direct and severe impact on the availability and cost of raw materials, particularly plastic granules. We are experiencing sustained and unpredictable price increases from our suppliers, often with little to no notice, creating an exceptionally volatile environment.
In addition, we are facing increasing difficulty in securing raw materials. Where supply is available, we are being subjected to significant cost increases and surcharges from our suppliers. Despite our efforts to mitigate these pressures through strategic sourcing, forward purchasing, and maintaining strong buffer stock levels, these increases are now unavoidable.
Aspirating Pipe and Fittings
To ensure continuity of supply across our customer base, a temporary surcharge of 10% will be applied to all aspirating pipe and fittings, effective from 20th April 2026.
This surcharge will be applied based on the dispatch date. Products dispatched prior to this date will not be subject to the surcharge; however, this remains strictly subject to available stock.
How this increase has been calculated:
We have consolidated current stock, stock in transit, forward-purchased materials, and materials procured over the last 30 days. By applying a weighted average across these positions, we have been able to limit the immediate surcharge to 10%.
We have consistently maintained strong buffer stock levels, which on this occasion have helped mitigate what would otherwise be a significantly higher increase. Current replacement costs for raw materials are approximately 84% higherthan previous levels.
A further review will be conducted over the next three months, at which point we will advise any adjustments to this surcharge.
Honeywell Equipment
We have also been advised that a 4.5% surcharge has been imposed on us by Honeywell across their Fire products portfolio (excluding software), effective from 10th May 2026.
As this increase has been applied directly to our cost base, we have no alternative but to pass this surcharge on to our customers for all applicable Honeywell equipment. This surcharge will not apply to orders placed prior to the effective date.
We are actively working to maintain sufficient raw material levels to support consistent manufacturing. While this remains a significant challenge, we have secured additional material, with further deliveries expected in the coming months. Despite this, supply will continue to be closely managed in line with availability.
Please note that all pricing, including surcharges, will be confirmed at the point of dispatch and remain subject to change in line with market conditions.
All quotations will be valid for 7 days only, and all orders remain subject to review and confirmation prior to production.
These measures have not been taken lightly but are necessary to ensure fair allocation of materials and to protect continuity of supply during this period of uncertainty.
We remain fully committed to supporting you and your business. Should you require updated quotations, forward planning assistance, or wish to discuss specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership.
